The Winnipeg Sea Bears announced today the signing of guard Isiah Osborne. He is the third addition they have made to the roster for the 2026 season, joining Xavier Moon and Nathan Bilamu. The 29-year-old Canadian was born in Windsor, Ontario, playing his collegiate basketball at the University of Texas at El Paso and Carlton University. His time at Carlton was successful, having won back-to-back national championships with the Ravens.

At 6’5” Osborne has the size and athleticism to play a few positions. He is a good defender, who has also had several good three point shooting seasons. Osborne has had a few different stints in the CEBL, with his most notable in 2023 for the Edmonton Stingers. That year he averaged 13 points, three rebounds, one and a half assists, to go along with a steal a game. He also shot 40% from three. Osborne did have a short stint with Edmonton in 2025, but was limited to only 7 games.

Winnipeg will be hoping he returns to form in 2026. So far in the Romanian first division with CSM Corona Brasov, he seems to be an important piece to their bench unit. The Sea Bears open their season against the Stingers May 9th on the road.
