It’s been a bit of a slow start to the 2026 CEBL Free Agency. There have been a few teams that have made moves, and others that have not even gotten on the board yet. As we reach the end of the first month of the true off-season, here are a few more names that have signed contracts with clubs for the upcoming season.
Quincy Guerrier
This is a massive return for the Montreal Alliance. Guerrier was arguably one of the best two-way players in the league last year, while also being in the conversation for top five best. He does everything you could ask for from your star forward. He can score in a multitude of ways, he defends at a high level, rebounds well, and can also be the quarterback for your offence. Fantastic to see he’ll be back in the league this summer.

Danilo Djuricic
Another Canadian veteran is back for 2026. For his fifth season and first time, Djuricic will play for a different team, but staying in the Greater Toronto Area. For this summer he will join Brampton as a big forward who is a great shooter and solid rebounder. Playing for the Honey Badgers might allow him to have a greater role and see if he can take that next step. With Scarborough his role was ever changing, and never really found consistent time on the floor. A good bench piece for a team looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2023.

David Walker
This was a move that I was somewhat surprised by. One of the better young players that’s come through the U Sports draft, Walker is a very intriguing player for Winnipeg. He’s a strong guard who is at his best going to the basket and defends well on the other end. Shooting and efficiency have been problematic over his first four seasons apart of the CEBL, but the hope is that he can continue to work on that with the Sea Bears. I see him as a bench scorer who can do a little bit of everything else when he is on the floor.
